Sample Actual Day Wedding Schedule for Dinner Banquets in Singapore (Updated for 2025)

To help you navigate your wedding day seamlessly, we've created a comprehensive actual day wedding schedule for you. Remember, you can always adjust it to match your needs.

💡
For lunch weddings, please use this programme instead.

We've also prepared a fully editable PDF of this programme, so that you can edit and print.

Getting Ready (7 - 10am)

07:00 - Makeup artist arrive at bride’s home.

07:05 - Mother of bride combs the hair of the bride.
07:15 - Makeup and hair for bride.
08:00 - Photographer and videographer arrive. (This can be earlier if you want to film the "getting ready" and "hair combing ceremony" sessions.)
09:45 - Bride’s parents veil the bride.
10:00 - Groom and groomsmen arrive at bride’s home for gate-crashing.

💄
Many brides start their day with early call times, so it’s important to choose an artist who’s experienced with actual day timelines. For example, Anna Makeup is highly reviewed for her soft glam bridal looks that hold up all day.

Gatecrashing (10 - 11am)

10:00 - A young boy from bride’s family opens the car door for the groom (an important tradition, apparently).
10:15 - Gatecrashing games begin.
10:45 - Groom unveils the bride.
11:00 - Portraits with the bride’s family.

📷
We recommend finding a wedding photographer like Cheeky Frames who can capture both raw, candid moments and posed shots with ease.

Tea Ceremony (11am - 2pm)

11:00 - Bride & groom leaves for groom’s home.
11:30 - Tea ceremony with groom’s family.
12:00 - Leave for bride’s home.
12:30 - Tea ceremony with bride’s family.
13:00 - Lunch

Rest / Optional Photoshoot (2 - 5:30pm)

14:00 - Check into hotel.
14:30 - Rest or do a photoshoot at your reception venue.
16:00 - Makeup artist for the evening look.

Solemnisation (5:30 - 6:30pm)

17:30 - Set up AV (photo montage) and reception table.

💡
To save time, we recommend hiring a professional event styling vendor. Your Wedding Matters specialises in reception table styling, floral arches, and custom signage.

17:50 - Guests and solemnizer arrive.
18:00 - Solemnisation ceremony begins (~30 mins).

Dinner Reception (7 - 11pm)

18:40 - Arrive at the dinner venue.
We've curated the 5 best venues for hosting a wedding banquet at dinnertime.
18:45 - Families of bride & groom stand by the reception table.
19:00 - Guests arrive. Pre-dinner cocktail starts.

📷
We had the best time at our friend's wedding taking turns at Event Kaki's Photobooth while waiting for the wedding processions to begin!

19:30 - Emcee announces for guests to be seated and begins an intro speech. Play video montage.
19:45 - 1st march-in, cake cutting, welcome speech.
20:00 - Dinner begins
21:00 - (After 4th course) 2nd march-in, champagne pouring ceremony and yumseng

To surprise your guests, consider adding something cheeky to your wedding favours — like some anti-hangover gummies. It’s a practical way to help guests feel great the next morning, especially after a night of yumseng and champagne!

21:45 - Couple will visit each table for photo-taking. (Adjust this time according to the size of your wedding. Each table takes about 5 minutes on average)
22:30 - Farewell.

Hope this helps! As you plan your wedding, be sure to read reviews written by graduated couples about your wedding venue & vendors. Trusted recommendations can make all the difference on your big day. 💜
